Art & Play is here for the Fall Semester!

"Art & Play" is one of our brand new workshops here in the HALO Center! By combining fun art projects and an element of play, our HALO Center youth are learning confidence and healthy expression. HALO facilitates art workshop with Academy Award-winning artist!

HALO had the privilege of partnering with Hallmark and reStart, Inc. to facilitate an art workshop with Inocente, a former homeless teen who has found fame and purpose through painting. Inocente is the star of an Academy Award-winning documentary, Inocente, about her life as a homeless teen and the art she creates to move past her struggles. reStart youth watched the documentary, had a question and answer session with the artist, and then created their own works of art. Check out these great photos of an inspiring night (and the pizza party that followed of course)!

Woodworking is back for the Fall Semester!

Fall Long-Term Programming is in full swing, and the sawdust has been flying at the Woodworking workshop! This semester, boys from the non-profit group Boys Grow are making everything from lamps to tables. Check out these great photos of the boys hard at work!
