At The HALO Foundation our dream is to improve the lives
of youth and give them the gift of brighter futures. In The HALO Center, there
are many people who Share Our Dream. Apprenticeship Coordinator,
Michelle Cordone and Mentors, Lisa Fasone and Amanda Owen, have dedicated the
past month to helping prepare two HALO Center girls for success as they reach
for their dreams. And that dedication pays off this week as Veronika and Caviar
graduate from the professional orientation of our Apprenticeship Program. The
girls have spent the last month focusing on time management, how to answer the
phone, interview skills and resume building in preparation for the interview of
a lifetime.
Upon
graduation from the professional orientation, Veronika and Caviar will both
have interviews in the area of their passions. Veronika has wanted to become an
attorney in family law since she was three years old and Caviar is studying at
UMKC to go into Crime Scene Investigation. Both girls will be placed in an
apprenticeship to learn skills and gain experience in their respective fields.
We are very proud to see Veronika and Caviar take big steps into their futures
as they Share Their Dream with The HALO Learning Center.
